Khechari Mudra

Khechari Mudra Pranayama uses a tongue lock to redirect prana upward and deepen breath awareness — a classical yogic practice from the Hatha tradition.

  1. Starting Position

Sit in a comfortable meditation posture with your spine straight. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

  2. Tongue Placement

Slowly roll your tongue back towards the soft palate, moving it toward the nasal cavity. This action creates a connection between the tongue and the upper palate.

  3. Breathing Technique

Once the tongue is in place, begin breathing slowly and deeply through the nose. Maintain this posture and breath for several minutes.
